CTXT was born in order to respond to a democratic emergency --namely, to the lack of independence of the Spanish and european press, which is increasingly submissive to the financial and political powers that be. Now CTXT seeks to consolidate a vigorous structure, and compensate the hard work of its members-workers.
We have a challenge for 2016: That is, to turn CTXT into a more influential and appealing magazine, one that is better connected to its community. But first, we must make the publishing company behind it sustainable. We want to continue producing free and independent journalism (and afford to pay rent), and need your collaboration so the magazine can go on informing its readers and remains sustainable.
We would like to continue producing independent journalism, selecting the topics we think you ought to know about, serving as a platform to minorities and showing there is an alternative to the status quo and monolithic thinking.
